On Friday November 25th the Intensive Neurorehabilitation team of Reade, centre for Rehabilitation and Rheumatology, will be organising an international symposium on holistic neuropsychological rehabilitation. The symposium will try to open the doors of neuropsychological rehabilitation to new ideas. Holistic neuropsychological rehabilitation has always questioned the modular approach. The WHO classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF) supports the concept of a holistic context-sensitive neuropsychological rehabilitation, that incorporates the dynamic interplay of personal and environmental factors. Holistic neuropsychological rehabilitation aims for an integrated approach, of the individual and his or her system, as well as in the organisation of health care in society. The invited speakers will present their views, com- bining their latest research and clinical practice, and introducing new developments in the holistic approach.
